For customers with carpentry resources, MARITIME Teak Deck Panels are a cost-saving alternative to a MARITIME Custom Teak Deck. Our popular deck panels are manufactured in rectangular sections to your exact specifications, and pre-sanded to a uniform thickness.

MARITIME Teak Deck Kits and swim platforms arrive pre-caulked, pre-sanded, and ready for installation. Maritime Wood Products supports Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory and delivers decking systems that improve manufacturing efficiency and quality for our large OEM customers. We excel meeting tight production schedules and are highly responsive to time-sensitive orders and changes.

SUPERIOR PROCESS: SUPERIOR RESULTS
The teak planking we use in our Custom Teak Decks and Teak Deck Panels is precision milled from the longest and finest FEQ teak logs. We hand-select the lumber and planking for each project individually to achieve the most consistent and uniform appearance. All of our decking is always 100% vertical grain, which guarantees a non-skid surface and superior wearability. (Learn more about our Teak Selection Process.)
For caulking our decks, we use our own proprietary MARITIME™ Teak Deck Caulk. This special product has exceptional adhesion and durability, and a long history of trouble-free use in all climate conditions. MARITIME Teak Deck Caulk is also sold separately. Our controlled manufacturing environment provides ideal conditions for building teak decks, caulking, and sanding.
We fabricate our straight-laid decks and deck panels without a substrate (i.e., backing material), unless otherwise requested. Decks and deck panels made without a substrate have several advantages: they weigh less, conform more readily to the deck camber for easier installation, and eliminate a potential source of delamination.
Sprung decks require bonding to a substrate - and in this case we laminate teak planks to okoume plywood using a specially formulated epoxy.
Deck seams are caulked to the full depth of the planking for the longest possible deck life, and the panels are then pre-sanded to a uniform thickness.
Our standard plank width is 1-7/8"e with a caulk seam width of 3/16". Other combinations and superyacht widths are available upon request.
Our most commonly requested deck thicknesses are 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4". Decks of any thickness can be produced upon request.
MARITIME Custom Teak Decks and Teak Deck Panels eliminate the need to tediously hand-lay a deck plank by plank, and represent major savings in skilled labor hours and materials waste. Our deck systems are designed to speed installation on new construction and refits, freeing valuable yard space and dramatically reducing the time a vessel is out of service.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING A MARITIME CUSTOM TEAK DECK
Significant care is given to the design and configuration of our deck systems, to ensure easy installation and maximum visual appeal. MARITIME deck panels install quickly and permanently using a special prethickened epoxy, eliminating screws that create failure points for leaks.

CUSTOM TEAK GRATES
We build our Custom Teak Grates to the specific dimensions or patterns you require. Common applications of our teak grating include: swim platforms, cockpit/helm stations, bow pulpits and interior shower flooring. We also provide notched and flat teak grating stock in various thicknesses for builders and craftsmen seeking to fabricate their own teak grates.
